Residents of Kwahu Kotoso have taken to the streets in a massive protest, calling on the government and other authorities to urgently come to their aid following a series of mysterious child deaths in the community.
According to the protesters, several children have died under strange circumstances over the years, leaving many families living in fear. The residents say they can no longer remain silent and are demanding immediate action to uncover what is behind the deaths.
Some of the residents accused community leaders of not doing enough to address the situation. They claim that despite the repeated incidents, the issue has remained unresolved.
The Assembly Member for the area has also spoken about the matter as concerns continue to grow among residents.
One of the most recent incidents reportedly happened on June 23. Residents say the community was watching a football match when there was a brief power outage. During the blackout, a child was reported missing. According to community members, a search was conducted throughout the night, but the child could not be found.
The following morning, the child’s body was allegedly discovered near the Afram River, leaving residents shocked and heartbroken.
The latest incident has renewed calls for intervention, with protesters urging the government, security agencies, and relevant authorities to investigate the matter and help bring an end to the deaths.
Many residents say they are living in fear and want answers as they continue to demand justice and protection for the children of the community.
